Ajmeri Khatoon, a visually challenged woman from a village in Jharkhand, faced daily difficulties moving around in dependently and relied on her family for even simple tasks. During her visit to ICARE Eye Hospital, Noida, she was provided with a specially designed white cane free of cost through Vision –Aid organization.
With guidance and practice, Ajmeri learned to use the cane confidently, enabling her to walk safely, visit nearby places on her own, and participate more actively in community life. The white cane not only improved her mobility but also restored her confidence, dignity, and independence, giving her the freedom to live a more self-reliant life. We look forward to distribute more low vision devices to the needy people with the help of Vision –Aid support programme.
