Pushed by poverty and lack of job opportunities in Bihar, Dablu Yadav and Santosh have migrated to U.P for better livelihood.
7 month angel was born on 12th Feb 2023. Inspired by Goddess Parvati, her parents have named their new born girl child ‘Parvathi’.
After 5 months of her birth, Baby Parvathi got unwell and her parents took her to a private clinic, where physician noticed and informed her parents about Baby Parvathi’s vision problems. Knowing her vision conditions, her parents were saddened and were in grief as they didn’t have enough money to arrange for her eye treatment as Dablu, (Baby Parvathi’s father) works as daily wage worker, a machine operator in a private company in Noida.
Dablu Yadav luckily got to know about an eye camp organized by ICARE in Devla village, District Gautam Budh Nagar. Both the parents with Baby Parvathi reached the eye camp where she was diagnosed with cataract in both her eyes and was sent to our tertiary hospital, ICARE in Noida for further treatment and diagnosis.
At ICARE, detailed eye examination was carried out, and she was operated for cataract surgeries simultaneously one after the other. Her parents are happy as she could now lead a normal life.
